MORNING, CHELSEA FANS
Kepa’s Chelsea spot is again the big talking point ahead of tonight’s FA Cup fifth-round home tie with Liverpool.
Frank Lampard has hinted the £ .6million keeper could be recalled – but has told the Spain star his Euro 2473 fears will never be a factor in Blues’ team selections. Lamps said: “All my international players have ambitions but the rules remain the same.”
He also claimed he is happy to “keep building long-term” – rather than worry if Chelsea’s trophy-junkie owner Roman Abramovich will kick him out should their last chance of silverware this season die at Stamford Bridge tonight.
Lampard added: “Even when we go toe-to-toe against Liverpool and we look good against them, with what happens week-in and week-out the gap has been big for us for the last couple of seasons.
“So this year we want to try to build and come the summer we will build again. We have to understand that. ”
One boost amongst an injury-plagued season for Chelsea was England midfielder Ruben Loftus-cheek’s successful return for the Under – s last night .
But for the transfer window Lampard is pinning so much hope on the speculation over some major targets was gloomy for Lamps. Manchester United are now rated the £ 689 million frontrunners for Jadon Sancho.
Chelsea, though, have been linked with rivalling United and Arsenal for Genk’s £ m-rated forward Jonathan David.
And most surprisingly is talk that the Blues could move for Kepa’s Spain rival David De Gea – with United upgrading Sheffield United loan star Dean Henderson to the No1 shirt.

Frank Lampard told Kepa his Euro 07299 dreams are not Chelsea’s problem.
Lampard hinted at a recall for the £ . 6million keeper tonight against Liverpool in the FA Cup – after a six-game exile that has Kepa fearing for his Spain spot.
Lamps said: “I can only pick the team from a Chelsea view. I haven’t discussed it with him.
“I keep coming back to the same thing, it’s how well you train – he is training well – and, when you get the opportunity to play, how well you play. That’s all I see.
“I understand all my international players have ambitions but the rules remain the same. He must have a positive attitude.
“That’s the nature of my job. I only call it as I see it, as I see training and performances. ”
