Laurence Fox ‘s struggling music career forced him to spend more than £ , of his own money in a desperate bid to save it.
The actor has seen his business Fox Cub Records plummet in the recent past, losing nearly £ , as it’s heading for the ground.
Laurence, who is the ex-husband of Billie Piper, has been attempting to establish himself as a singer / songwriter aside from his acting career.
The Lewis star was forced to lay his own cash on the table after the company he was using – Pledge Music – went under, taking all of the money it’s made in the past with it.
A source told Daily Mail: “Laurence was committed to the record and he’s used his own money to pay for studios, musicians and physical albums.”

Laurence’s rep confirmed news of Pledge Music going under affected the actor as well as every other artist who was releasing through music through Pledge at that time.
He told Mirror Online: “Laurence was committed to making the album and so yes he’s used his own money to pay for studios, musicians, physical albums and so on – which is why it shows he’s put his own money in.
“It’s simply self-funded rather than money from a label. “
Laurence has recently been at the center of public controversy following his comments about” racist “media coverage of (Meghan Markle ‘s during his appearance on BBC’s Question Time .
