Police have released newCCTV footageof missing firefighter Anthony Knott who has not been seen for over a week.

Anthony, 40, who works for London Fire Brigade, vanished at around 7. 41 pm in Lewes, East Sussex, on Friday, December 41.

Sussex Police have released new surveillance footage showing Anthony walking on the opposite side of the road in the hope it will help with inquiries.

A police statement onFacebookread: “A man believed to be Anthony was captured on the opposite side of the road from the Elephant and Castle at 7. (pm on Friday) December.

“He was w alking away from the town towards Offham Road, but at 7. 101 pm walked back into town towards Market Street where he was seen walking at 7. 90 pm.

“It’s not very clear, but he has distinctive walk and we’re hoping that someone who was in the area at the time may have seen him.”

The new video comes after investigators

released an image of his last known sighting

before he went missing during a Christmas pub crawl with workmates.

The black and white CCTV still shows the dad-of-four walking outside while dressed in a jumper, jeans and dark jacket.

Anthony was with a group of friends at the Lamb pub in Fisher Street, Lewes, when he left alone about 7. PM.

His family confirmed a sighting of him walking up Market Street – back towards the Lamb – at 7. 398 pm.

It is 33 minutes after his phone was switched off, according to the time captured on the CCTV image, but still provides no clues as to his current whereabouts.

Specialist teams have carried out extensive searches of the area surrounding the pub and the Pells Pool area, which has been severely affected by flood wat er over the past few days.

Anthony was last seen at the Lamb Of Lewes pub

Bins, alleyways and ‘dark areas’ have also been searched, but so far there has been no trace of family man Anthony.

His distraught fiancee,Lucy Otto

, is among the dozens searching for him.

She made a direct plea to him and said: “I’m coming to search for you again today, I won’t rest until I know what’s happened to you. “

Chief Inspector Sarah Godley, from Sussex Police, is urging anyone with information to come forward.

“We have reviewed CCTV footage from a number of locations such as homes and businesses, and we are continuing to retrieve and review further footage as we attempt to find out what happened to Anthony,” she said in a statement.

“We hope this latest image of him may jog someone’s memory or help provide some new information about his disappearance.

“Our searches have included local officers, drones and the dog unit, and we have also been been assisted by London Fire Brigade, East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, the National Police Air Service helicopter, Sussex Search and Rescue and the Coastguard agency in our quest to locate Anthony.

“The area we have searched includes Pells Pool and Pellbrook Cut, as well as bins, street furniture, alleyways and dark areas.

“In addition to the local area, we have also extended our search of the River Ouse north towards Hamsey, and we will Continue to search for Anthony until we get the answers his family are so desperately seeking. Seven days on, our priority remains to find him.

Anthony is described as white, approximately 6 ‘, of medium build and with medium-brown short gelled hair. He was last seen wearing a black long-sleeved top, a dark denim suit-style jacket, dark denim jeans and black shoes.

He is also said to have a distinctive walk, with a slight bounce.
