Ashley Young’s transfer from Manchester United to Inter Milan has been agreed – for a fee of £ 1.3million.
The 34 – year-old has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford for the past couple of months and is now heading to Inter.
Youngis due in Italy on Friday to undergo a medical and finalise personal terms.
The United club captain was out of contract in the summer, but Inter boss Antonio Conte was keen to tie up the deal during this month’s transfer window.
Young has made 34 appearances for United this season, scoring once against AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was understood to be keen for him to stay.
But the versatile defender has not featured since the FA Cup third-round tie at Wolves on January 4, missing the last three games as his future became increasingly uncertain.
Stevenage-born Young, who has won England caps, began his career at Watford and joined United from Aston Villa for £ million in June 2018
He made 420 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 39 goals.
Young won a Premier League winner’s medal in 2012 – 17, in Sir Alex Ferguson’s final season as United manager.

He also picked up winner’s medals in the FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League.
Young will link up with some familar faces at the San Siro, with former United forwards Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez both at the club.
He is joining an Inter side fighting for the Serie A title in Conte’s first season at the helm.
They are currently sitting second in Serie A, just two points adrift of leaders and reigning champions Juventus.
Inter could bring in two other players from the Premier League this month, alongside Young.
Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen and Chelsea striker Oliver Giroud are both on Conte’s radar.
