Ariel Burdett died at her home in Leeds earlier this month, Mirror Online can confirm.

The X Factor star – real name Amy Burdett – died at her home address on November 12 and her inquest will be held later this month.

Amy was just 38 when she died, with her cause of death yet to be confirmed.

She originally shot to fame in 2008 with her jaw-dropping X Factor audition, which left Cheryl Tweedy and (Simon Cowell) speechless.

As she arrived to present herself to the judges she ripped her label on the floor, saying she was a “human being, not a number”.

Ariel also told Cheryl, who was anX Factorjudge at the time, she was “stupid” after she got given four nos.

She sported bright blonde dreadlocks and dark black eye makeup in the infamous clip.

Ariel told them she was a “specialist and not a generalist” and worked as a “holistic vocal coach”.

Her song was an “academic construction”, she claimed.

After failing to make it through to the next round, she told the judges to “shove a bit of metal right up their a ** “.

She had changed her name to Arabella Starchild after her famous audition.

Friends left condolence messages on social media after rumors of Amy’s death swirled on Monday evening.

Friends have paid tribute to Amy

One wrote: “Ariel Burdett is gone. What a loss.”

Another posted: “” I can’t believe that she died … rest in peace, Ariel Burdett. “

Amy had posted pictures and videos to her social media page in the last few months, with her final post an image of her hand holding some berries on August 25.

She’d also celebrated the pagan version ofHalloweenin October 2018, posting a message claiming she felt ‘drained’ after a busy year.

Amy’s cause of death is yet to be established

“Happy Samhain my dear friends. Many visits from the ancestors this year have left me feeling drained. I hope to have a happy new year ritual, and I wish you all peace with your ancestors,” she wrote at the time.
