    ‘WORK WITH US’

Jeremy Corbyn tells Boris Johnson to “work with” MPs to decide a timetable for his Brexit deal.

The PM said he was “joyful” that the Commons had come together and “embraced a deal”.

He added that “nobody thought” he could achieve the “approval of the house” and commends MPs for voting for “national interest” first.

The PM also told the house that No Deal preparations will be “accelerated” and his Brexit deal legislation will be “paused”.

Mr Johnson says the EU must now make a decision about a delay to Brexit.

    BORIS LOSES CRUNCH VOTE

MPs have voted to block the PM’s fast-tracked Brexit deal with a program motion.

The PM’s deal was defeated by votes to 308.

The move comes after MPs on both side of the house were frustrated by the lack of time to scrutinise the Brexit deal bill.

Boris Johnson threatened to call a general election if this happened.

Looks like we’ve got a national vote on the horizon, folks.

    RESULTS ARE IN

Boris Johnson’s Brexit deal bill has passed its second reading in the House of Commons with 329 votes to 299.

Despite the PM’s bill getting over the line – the big vote is on whether MPs will block the PM’s fast-tracked Brexit deal with a program motion.

MPs are now in the Lobbies voting on the motion.

    TIGHT CALL

Robert Buckland’s concession – offering Parliament more of a say in the next stage of Brexit – could bag Boris Johnson a few more votes.

But it is still going to be very tight, The Sun’s political columnist James Forsyth observes.

James says: ”That concession from Buckland, that parliament will have an opportunity to bind the government to extend the transition, should deliver a few more votes on the program motion for the government.

“Still going to be mighty tight, though.”
