Fears of the deadly coronavirus have surged after officials carried out coronavirus testing for 1, 728 people in just one day. None of those tested positive for the disease now known as SARS-CoV-2. However, despite the NHS claiming they are well prepared for an outbreak, health officials fear the worst is yet to come.
Public anxiety has surged over the past few weeks with the number of patients tested for the disease in Britain at an all time high.
More than 4, 728 People have been tested for the coronavirus in the UK to date.
However, just nine patients have been diagnosed with the disease, which is thought to have first broken out in the Chinese city of Wuhan.
Earlier this month Public Health England announced thousands of patients across the UK would be tested for coronavirus every day.

Precautions were taken up a notch after a third British person Steve Walsh, who is though to have infected at least 78 other people, tested positive on February 6.
Nonetheless, the NHS insists they are “extremely well prepared”.
According to NHS London: “The UK is extremely well prepared for any potential outbreak of an infectious disease – we are one of the first countries in the world to have devel oped a test for the new virus. ”
Health and Social Care Secretary Matt Hancock said:“ Our world-class NHS is well prepared and we are doing everything we can to protect the public. ”

despite none of the latest people to be tested being diagnosed with the disease, health officials suspect there is still a chance the disease will spread.
Leading scientists have warned the hope of stopping the outbreak is’ fading by the day ‘.
Concern among doctors have mounted with health care professionals fearing that the disease’s emergence in the capital will lead to a rapid spread of the virus.
Dr Robin Thompson, an expert in mathematical epidemiology at Oxford University said: “In general, if an initial case is in a densely populated area, then the risk of sustained person-to-person transmission following is higher. ”
