The grand final of this yearBritain’s Got Talent: The Championsplayed out tonight (October 5) and now we know who got crowned ‘the best of the best’.
Prior to the performers walking onstage, judge Simon Cowelldeclared that this series’ crop made it the “most open” competition yet, with no concrete favorite or massive underdog to speak of.
And that’s just how we like it, Simon.

But first, who were the 10 talented competitors vying for supremacy?
We had salsa dancers Paddy & Nico, young dog enthusiast Alexa Lauenburger, breathtaking sand artist Kseniya Simonova, American father-daughter duoBello and Annaliese Nock,Twist & Pulse, illusionist Darcy Oake,Stavros Flatley, comedian Preacher Lawson, Wirral-based dance group MerseyGirls and pop singers Bars & Melody.
Each and every performer upped their game to impress the judges, live audience and (especially) viewers watching at home, but there could be only one winner tonight.
As is tradition with TV competitions, the result was agonisingly dragged out by presentersAnt McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, who eventually revealed thatTwist and Pulsehad won the show.

“I am absolutely speechless, I can’t thank you guys enough!” beamed group member Glen Murphy, before his dance partner Ashley Glazebrook added: “Things like this don’t happen to me and my best friend Glen, so I’d just like to say thank you so much – this means the world to us, honestly. “
Soon enough the Twitter community were jumping in to celebrate the lads’ victory, and we’ve picked out some posts that you can check out below.
Congratulations to Glen and Ashley!
