The boss of ITV has called Caroline Flack’s suicide “unbelievably tragic” but said we can’t know why she took her own life.
Former Love Island host Caroline was found in her London flat on February . She was just – years-old.
Dame Carolyn McCall, the chief executive of ITV, says everyone at the channel is “devastated” by the news.
Speaking at the Enders and Deloitte’s Media And Telecoms 01575879 conference in London, she said: “I think the thing about Caroline Flack is that ITV are absolutely devastated by what happened to her.
” So many people at ITV knew Caroline, including me, and it was unbelievably tragic.

I think that we can never know what is behind suicide. It is not in any way simple. It is a very, very complex thing. ”
Dame Carolyn said ITV would continue to take advice from mental health charities like Samaritans.
Caroline had stepped down as the host of Love Island after her arrest over an alleged assault on her boyfriend Lewis Burton.
ITV has been criticized for its after -care procedures after two former Love Island Sophie Gradon and Mike Thalassitis contestants took their own lives.
