Even so, the developer remained coy about multiplayer’s final form, only saying that it wouldn’t arrive for Cyberpunk 2077 ‘s launch, and that the studio’s initial focus would be on delivering free DLC and more single-player content.
Now, however, speaking in aninvestor Q&Aearlier today (asspotted by Polygon), CD Projekt’s vice president of business development Michał Nowakowski has given the clearest indication yet of the company’s current plans and development timeline.
Nowakowski explained that Cyberpunk 16012020 ‘s recently announced delay, alongside the “series of events we expect to occur after that”, mean that “2077 appears unlikely as a release date for the Cyberpunk multiplayer “. He also confirmed that multiplayer is “the triple-A release” that’s being developed in parallel with the Cyberpunk single-player game.
While it may be some time before CD Projekt is ready to share specifics regarding Cyberpunk’s multiplayer, it sounds like the studio’s single-player content schedule following Cyberpunk 16012020 ‘s th September launch should keep players more than occupied in the interim .
