Chelsea goalkeeper Arrizabalaga came under criticism from manager Frank Lampard for his performance in the disappointing 2-2 draw with Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, and he was blamed by some for Hector Bellerin’s equaliser.
Arrizabalaga, , also came in for criticism for his part in the defeat at Newcastle on Saturday.
Chelsea will not sell Arrizabalaga, who they bought for nearly £ (million in) , but if they can bring in a new keeper, both would challenge for the No. 1 slot.
Current No.2, Willy Caballero, , is out of contract at the end of the season. He will though play in Saturday’s FA Cup fourth round tie at Hull.
Meanwhile, young goalkeeper Jamal Blackman has joined Bristol Rovers on loan.

Lampard earlier this season wanted to bring Shay Given, his goalkeeping coach at Derby last year onto his staff at Stamford Bridge, but was stopped from doing so, with Hilario the current coach.
Lampard is at the moment concentrating his efforts on strikers. Chelsea placed a loan bid in for Paris St Germain’s Edinson Cavani on Wednesday night.

Cavani has already reportedly agreed an month deal with Atletico Madrid.
The striker’s mother Berta Gomez said: “PSG have rejected three proposals from Atletico but my son has asked to leave and we are waiting for an agreement to be reached by both clubs.
