Here is how both teams could line-up at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea

Mason Mount could feature against Liverpool despitelimping out of their Champions League defeat to Valencia.

The midfielder had to come off following a nasty challenge by Francis Coquelin.

Frank Lampard delivered a positive update, though, and the outlook seems good.

“He’s got a good chance,” the Chelsea boss said. “We all saw the image of the tackle which made it look really bad but we are trying to get home moving today. We’ll make a call before the game. ”

N’Golo Kante is also in contention having returned to training following an ankle injury.

Lampard added: “It’s a boost with N’Golo, we all know the importance of him to the team. The only question is how fit he is. We have to manage him but it’s great to have him back in and around us. ”

The Blues have found early success this season with their young English players with Tammy Abraham, Fikayo Tomori and Mason Mount and Lampard is unlikely to want to change this.

Emerson Palmieri is also an injury doubt for the match after missing the last two games.

Callum Hudson-Odoi and Reece James are working their way back to full fitness while Ruben Loftus-Cheek is still a long-term absentee.

Liverpoolhave no fresh injury concerns following their defeat at Napoli in the Champions League.

Divock Origi is unlikely to feature at Stamford Bridge after picking up an ankle injury against Newcastle last week.

“Div, we have to see day by day, that’s how it was from the first day – how can he deal with the pain and stuff like that,” Jurgen Klopp said.

“It is pretty early, so I don’t know exactly what the medical department will tell me (today) about that case.

“I think it’s unlikely but why should I rule him out? But it’s unlikely. ”

There was some more encouraging news on this fitness of Naby Keita and goalkeeper Alisson Becker.

Keita has been sidelined with a groin problem since the Community Shield while Alisson picked up a calf injury in the first game of the season.

Klopp said: “Alisson is making big progress. A proper session yesterday with (goalkeeping coach) John Achterberg.

“Not in team training yet, and we take it day by day. We will see. Too early to say. Medical department will tell me. ”

On Keita he added: “Naby Keita is back in training with the team. Today is first time with the team. ”

Klopp is likely to field his strongest team on Sunday with the clash against Chelsea their toughest away from home so far this season.
