Cheryl says she’s planning to have at least two more children with the help of a sperm donor.
The – year-old singer says her decision to go it alone has been led by her age.
“If time was on my side and I was in my twenties, I would wait and consider more options, or wait for somebody I felt was right,” she told The Times Magazine.
) “But you could meet somebody and for that year it feels incredible, but there is never a guarantee because there are so many variables that can happen. Life is a funny old game.”
She says she will be getting the sperm from abroad rather than the UK.
Cheryl currently has two-year-old son Bear with One Direction starLiam Payne
The couple got together in (**************************************, after the end of her second marriage to French restaurateur Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.
Her first marriage was to ex-England footballer Ashley Cole in 2006.
Cheryl and Payne ended their relationship in 2018, and while they have not spoken publicly about the split Cheryl insists it was amicable.
She said: “We’re friends. We worked It out maturely. Liam is a huge part of my life and he will be for ever…
“It’s the first time I’ve had a break-up that has involved another human’s life. There can’t be any animosity. It’s just not healthy for Bear and I was prepared to let that happen. “
While Bear lives with Cheryl, she says he stays with Payne when he’s not working, and she regularly sends him pictures and updates.
After shooting to fame aged just 19 she admits: “You are carrying so much on little shoulders. This industry drags you up.”
After finding success on Popstars: The Rivals as part of Girls Aloud, she went on to have a solo singing career.
She has also had judging roles on Simon Cowell’s X Factor – with a short-lived shot at judging the US version in – as well as for the BBC’s The Greatest Dancer, which is now in its second season.
While being a single mum was not how she imagined her life would turn out, she insists: “I don’t think about finding a man at all. I really don’t think about it.”
“For the first time in my life, I’m happy being just me. I probably need that and Bear probably needs that right now.”
