The policy, leaked into social media by the BBC, reveals that after a heated weekend NEC conference in Brighton, the result of intense talks on the subject of Brexit will be to hold a second referendum. The document reads: “The NEC welcomes Labor’s commitment to let the people decide Brexit. “Labor will put control of Brexit back in the hands of the people in a new referendum with a real choice between a sensible leave deal or remain.”
It adds: “ A Labor Government would secure a sensible leave deal wit the EU within three months, and with six months would put it before the people in a referendum alongside the option to remain. ”
Bizarrely, it continues: “Jeremy Corbyn is right to say that as a Labor prime minister he would implement the will of the British people in that referendum.”
The policy – which ignores the vote of 17. 5million Britons who voted to leave – will be voted on today.
Brexiteers flocked online to share their fury at the motion.

One said: “Unfortunately, #JeremyCorbyn wants to seek a #Lexit #Brexit deal and I’ve no doubts that the #Labour leadership will back #Leave in that referendum so I can’t see the #RemainAlliance officially working with @UKLabour. ”
Another added:“ Seriously how is this clarity on Labor position on Europe. It’s not I still don’t know where they stand. How hard is it to back Brexit or Remain. ”
A third added:“ Great, another referendum for MP’s to battle against! Delivering on the 1st referendum is essential for any future referendum to be taken seriously!

Another said: “I’m sorry … I just can’t read beyond the first sentence. Sums up labor entirely.”
A fifth comment read: “Wow that’s impressive … The choice is between remaining in the EU or leaving the EU while not actually leaving anything … Bril liant strategy …. Now where do I vote for @brexitparty_uk. ”
The policy came after a shambolic NEC conference that saw the party attempt to oust deputy Tom Watson, vote to abolish private education and even saw Diane Abbott tell Boris Johnson to “bring it on” over an election – despite Mr Corbyn chickening out twice.
Her message to the Prime Minister, however, comes after the Labor Party rejected the opportunity of a snap election proposed by the Government twice earlier this month.

Boris Johnson tabled two motions to call for an early general election in the Commons before proroguing Parliament for five weeks just before conference recess began.
But opposition parties have refused both attempts at a general election with Labor Party MPs abstaining from voting on both occasions.
Lab our leader Jeremy Corbyn claimed his party aimed to ensure a no deal Brexit scenario was taken off the table by an extension to Article 50 before it could commit to an early vote.
Speaking to BBC’s Andrew Marr on Sunday morning, the Labor leader refused to spell out whether he would support the option to Remain in the EU or that of leaving with a deal negoti negotiated by his government in a second Brexit referendum.
Mr Corbyn said: “We will put both views to the British people and say ‘this is the best deal we could get, this is the Remain and hopefully reform option. “
But speaking at an anti-Brexit rally on Saturday, Shadow Foreign Secretary Emily Thornberry said she would never campaign for a” Labor ‘Leave’ Brexit “.
