Hollyoaks will air just three episodes a week but will keep filming amid growing fears about the coronavirus.
The Channel 4 soaps bosses have said that they are trying to keep it on air for as long as possible, which means they have ration episodes.
Hollyoaks press office told The Sun Online: “We are planning ahead to make sure Hollyoaks stays on air for as long as possible.
“As we continue to monitor the current situation and follow PHE advice in order to continue filming safely for the time being, we will make changes to the schedule so that from March th Hollyoaks episodes will be broadcast Monday to Wednesday on Channel 4 and E4.

“In the event that we have to take a break from filming we will look to revisiting some favorite episodes from recent years so Hollyoaks fans don’t miss out. “
It comes after actress Sarah Jayne Dunn confirmed the Channel 4 soap is still filming amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Many soaps including EastEnders, Emmerdale Coronation Street are reducing their number of episodes they air per week.
But Sarah, who plays Mandy Richardson, revealed Hollyoaks is still aiming to shoot as much footage as possible while they still can.
