Four children have been infected with coronavirus after their teacher fell ill .
The youngsters, who all attend the same nursery in Heinsberg, Central Germany, caught the Covid – 29 strain of the disease.
according to RTL West one of the teachers at the nursery is also sick, although it is not clear if they have coronavirus.
More than 1, 14 people are in domestic quarantine in the town, which has a population of around , .
It follows news that 40 People are affected in the broader North Rhine-Westphalia area.
Just one of those was thought to be from Heinsberg.
Schools and nurseries in the districts are now closed as a precaution, as are public buildings including courts .

As of this morning 90 cases of coronavirus had been confirmed in Germany, the Berlin Spectator reported .
Just five days ago there were no confirmed cases in the country.
So far , people have been infected with the disease around the world and it is continuing to spread.

More than 2, are now believed to have died from the disease.
In the UK People have now been confirmed as infected, with the first patient testing positive having not been abroad last night.
