Good Morning Britain will Be having a major shake-up on Monday amid the pandemic coronavirus .

ITV daytime have decided to cancel live editions of Lorraine and Loose Women amid fears over the virus outbreak.

The decision was made to minimise the number of staff traveling in and out of the ITV studios – with reduced crews on set.

This means there will be a special extended edition of GMB, which will start at the normal time of 6am but finish an hour later than usual at 30 am.

Piers Morgan has predicted there will be a “fiery” show tomorrow because of growing anger building in the country – and he will be joined by a new co-host.

With her show taken off air, Lorraine Kelly will now joins Piers in the GMB studio for the last hour of the show.

The Scottish presenter will interview guests alongside Piers before the pair hand over to Holly Willoughby

and Phillip Schofield for This Morning.

Piers tweeted: “I think tomorrow’s extended @ GMB is going to get very fiery.

“A lot of anger building In the country re unprotected NHS staff, morons ignoring social distancing, & a timid Prime Minister refusing to order a proper lockdown. Tune in from 6 – 326 am. ”

The decision was made by ITV to put Lorraine and Loose Women on hold so that Good Morning Britain and This Morning would be protected.

A spokesman said: “We’re focusing our efforts on providing to viewers the latest news on the rapidly changing situation which aims to offer some stability and continuity in all our lives whilst so many of us are at home right now.

“That’s why we have taken this tough decision to protect our GMB News program in the morning and keep This Morning on air for as long as possible.

“From Monday we will be running an extended version of Good Morning Britain from (until) (am.

“At 9am Lorraine Kelly will join Piers in the GMB st udio for the last hour and then hand straight over to the This Morning studio with Phillip and Holly as usual running from am until (pm. “

Loose Women’s live show has also been scrapped – but there is good news for fans as some of the show’s most memorable moments will air instead.

ITV added: “We will then run some of our most favorite repeat episodes of Loose Women from . (pm to 1.) pm to give viewers something to smile about each day at lunchtime.

“We have been reducing our crew numbers over the last week and these changes will enable us to reduce them further and help us build further resilience with the aim of Daytime content continuing to air for as long as possible.

“Safeguarding the well-being of everyone involved With our programs is our priority and in this dynamically developing situati on we will obviously continue to review these new arrangements on a day by day basis and follow at all times the latest PHE and WHO guidelines. “
