Holly Willoughby was upset. With Piers Morgan today for his inappropriate comment on her outfit.

This Morning presenter Holly and co-host Phillip Schofield went into the Good Morning Britain studio to preview their show .

Britain was ordered into an unprecedented lockdown on Monday night amid the coronavirus outbreak – but all the presenters are considered essential workers.

Pointing out that they were social distancing, Piers said: “I love the way you come and stand two meters away.”

Looking at Holly’s dress, he added: “Your spring wardrobe has obviously arrived.”

Holly, who pointed out there were bigger concerns right now , sarcastically replied: “Thank you Piers. That’s the important thing right now.”

Giggling Piers said: “It’s whatever gets us through right now.”

Phillip admitted that the lockdown was not unexpected and admitted it was going to be a “process” that we learn from on a daily basis.

Piers confessed it was weird to watch the presenters standing across the studio, while Holly admitted she felt like being in the headmaster’s office.

When Lorraine revealed she was enjoying Phillip and Holly’s show, cheeky Piers added: “I’ve almost started watching it.”

At the start of today’s This Morning, Holly and Phillip explained why they were still working in the studio.

Holly said: “Lets start by explaining, probably actually for the first time ever, why we are here today. “

Phillip continued:” The government has classed us as an essential service for the time being to bring you the latest news on the virus, to answer your concerns with our doctors, to offer useful advice and to hopefully lighten the load as only This Morning knows how. “

Holly explained they were running with a skeleton staff from now on with lots of people working from home and regular behind-the-scenes services cut back to an “absolute minimum”.

A lot of the crew had come through from Good Morning Britain and were in the This Morning studio to minimise staff.

While Dr Zoe was back in the studio for the first time since self-isolating at home after getting coronavirus.

She explained: “I’m on day . I was back to work yesterday in the practice. I’m feeling almost back to normal. I still wouldn’t exercise. But not infected anymore. “
