Coronavirus: UAE Expats can now take their annual leave early

Abu Dhabi: Expat workers within the private sectors will now be able to take their annual leaves and go back to their home countries during the period of the nationwide precautionary measures taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation today launched a new initiative “Early Leave” to help expats willing to go back to their home country by bringing forward their annual leave so that they can spend it there during the ongoing precautionary measures.

The initiative was launched in cooperation and coordination with the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (FAIC), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Civil Aviation Authority and The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA).
