All hospitals prepped by health authorities to handle any case of coronavirus infectionAbu Dhabi: Health authorities in the UAE announced on Saturday night the 2nd coronavirus case in the country.

Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Health and Community Protection announced the diagnosis of one new case in the country for infection of the novel corona virus, involving a person coming from Wuhan in the People’s Republic of China.

The person is currently receiving the necessary treatment, and his health condition is stable and under observation and medical care.

This brings to five the number of cases discovered in the UAE since the emergence of the disease until today.

Authorities said this indicates the strength and efficiency of the surveillance and disease surveillance system in the country and the principle of transparency in announcing the recorded cases.

The ministry noted that the previous four cases registered involving a Chinese family, as previously announced, are still receiving the necessary healthcare treatment.

“Their general condition is stable, and there is no cause for concern about them,” according to a ministry statement on Saturday night.
