Deepika Padukone’s latest outing ‘Chhapaak’ comes with a strong message which highlights the social issue of acid attacks in the country. Recently, through a sting operation, Deepika tried to spread the awareness about how easily acid is still accessible despite stringent rules against its sale in the market. The makers of the film planted a team of actors dressed as a student, wife, businessman, plumber, etc. around some local shops in the area to buy acid. In the video, Deepika can be seen coordinating the operation with her team. While most actors managed to buy acid easily, only a few were asked for their identity cards. In the end, Deepika said that acid wouldn’t get thrown if it wouldn’t sell.
