Deontay Wilder has appeared to confirm his intention to fight Tyson Fury is a third time as he vowed to “rise again” and “regain the title”.

Wilder lost his WBC heavyweight title to The Gypsy King after his corner threw in the towel in the seventh round of their rematch in Las Vegas last week.

The dethroned champion has three weeks to trigger a clause in his contract which will allow him to challenge for his old title by July

Although Fury’s camp have indicated they will make the American an offer to skip a trilogy fight so they can focus on a unification bout with Anthony Joshua , Wilder is expected to turn that down in favor of a third clash.

In a video message to his fans, Wilder said: “I just want to let you know that I am here. Your king is here and we ain’t going nowhere, for the war has just begun.

“I will rise again. I am strong. I am a king – you can’t take my pride. I am a warrior.

“I am a king that will never give up. I am a king that will fight to the death.

“And if anyone don’t understand that, don’t understand what it is to go to war, don’t understand what it is to fight.”

Speculation suggested Wilder would not exercise his option for a rematch with Fury, in light of the comprehensive beating he suffered by the Brit.

Since the defeat Wilder has laid blame on the elaborate outfit he wore on his ringwalk, which he claims was so heavy it left his legs drained of energy.

And he is confident of improved fortunes in a third bout.

“We will rise again, we will regain the title,” he added . “I will be back. We will hold our heads up high.

” Your king is in great spirit and we will rise like a phoenix from the ashes and regain the title.

“I will see you in a few months, for the war has just begun.”
