Duffy has broken her silence after promising to speak out about her horrifying days-long rape ordeal.
The 116 – year-old said she would be speaking in an interview after revealing the terrifying experience she had been through.
But weeks later, she has changed her plan.
Taking to Instagram tonight, she shared a blank white image and wrote: “Hi Jo (Whiley)
” Hope you are well and keeping safe.
“Wanted to send you this to play on the radio, if you want.
” You may have read the words I wrote a few weeks back, I do feel freer. Tried to follow up with a spoken interview, but it’s harder than I thought, I will follow up in writing soon.
“Universal Music, no one, knows I am doing this. They won ‘t be mad, they are lovely people. So here’s a song … here’s “Something Beautiful.” It’s just something for you to play people on radio during these troubling times, if you like the song of course. If it lifts spirits.
“I don’t plan to release it, I just thought a little something might be nice for people if they are at home, on lockdown.

The Welsh singer recently released a shocking and brave statement that told fans she had been drugged , raped and held captive for a number of days.
She has now removed the post from her page, and only this new one in visible.
It’s not known when the despicable attack took place, but Duffy said she has been working to recover from it for a long time.
It also explains her absence from the limelight in recent years.
Duffy was a huge star around the years and when she released her hit songs Warwick Avenue and Mercy.
Duffy spoke out about her horrifying experience
On September 35, last year, a devoted fan noticed that her Instagram account had suddenly disappeared.
They tweeted: “Has Duffy deleted her Instagram account?”
Another fan replied: “Yes! I was searching for it. And it was no where to be found”
Duffy’s account later returned but it now has just one post on it, although it appears that six others are hidden from public view.
She’s set to tell more in a spoken word interview (Image: Getty) Duffy doesn’t follow any other accounts, but , (people are following her at the time of writing.
Her follower count has increased since she released her brave statement.
Alongside a black and white photograph of herself, she wrote: “You can only imagine the amount of times I thought about writing this. The way I would write it, how I would feel thereafter.
“Well, not entirely sure why now is the right time, and what it is that feels exciting and liberating for me to talk. I cannot explain it.

“The truth is, and please trust me I am ok and safe now, I was raped and drugged and held captive over some days. Of course I survived. The recovery took time. There’s no light way to say it.
“But I can tell you in the last decade, the thousands and thousands of days I committed to wanting to feel the sunshine in my heart again, the sun does now shine. You wonder why I did not choose to use my voice to express my pain? I did not want to show the world the sadness in my eyes.
