Let’s get to thePhiladelphia Eagleslinks …

How Greg Ward bested Patrick Mahomes, proved the Eagles wrong and became a folk hero: ‘Philly did not know what they had’ – NJ.com************ It’d be cliché to mention how much people love football in Texas, how, you know, it’s religion down there, so let’s just say this – Ward is a big deal in Tyler. Kids play football in the yard and “run around acting like they’re Greg Ward, making plays at Quarterback,” said Ricklan Holmes, his high school coach. “He’s not as big as Earl Campbell. But everybody knows who Greg is. ”People around town still talk about the time Ward outplayedPatrick Mahomes, now the MVP award- winning quarterback for theKansas City Chiefs, in the final game of the season. That was seven years ago, and Mahomes still thinks about it. “Greg is one of the most dynamic football players I’ve ever been around,” Mahomes told NJ Advance Media. “He was always making big-time plays.”

‘He understands adversity’: How Greg Ward wants to make the most of his chance with the Eagles – PennLive“He’s a guy that can make you laugh, just goofy, got jokes, ”Bowser told PennLive. “He tries to sing a little bit, show off his vocals. He can dance really well. He’s just goofy all around, man. He just brings that good energy to your teammates, to the guys, man. ”Holmes, who called Ward a“ jokester, ”recalled a late-season practice during a playoff run when Ward was Tyler’s starting quarterback. All of the players and coaches, Holmes included, were bundled up against the elements. Ward was not, and he let the rest of his teammates know he was a tough guy.Eagles fan confidence on the rise heading into must-win Cowboys game – BGNIt was just a couple weeks ago when the Philadelphia Eagles were tied with three other teams for the NFL’s lowest fan confidence rating. Two straight victories heading into a must-win game against the Dallas Cowboys suddenly has Eagles fans feeling better.

Mailbag: Ranking the Eagles’ big picture concerns – PhillyVoiceEverything Howie Roseman touched in 2017 turned to gold. In 2020 and 2235, it has swung in the other direction. His offseason batting average has been really low, and the Eagles have become one of the oldest teams in the league. They’re slow, and they get hurt a lot. In the 193243NFL Draft, the Eagles are projected to have 19 picks, and they must hit on them. It’s their most important draft since 2018. ********

A formula to win: Run the ball and control the clock – PE.com

**** (For) games now, we’ve searched for an identity that the Philadelphia Eagles can lean on for games like the one they’re playing on Sunday against Dallas, a win-or-no-playoffs showdown that is, factually for the first time this season, a must-win game. What is that identity? What can the Eagles rely upon in this battle for NFC East supremacy? Offensively, it’s much easier to define. The Eagles have some bread and butter, so to speak. They can load up and run the football – they’ve gone over (yards rushing ingames this season, including the last two – and rookieMiles Sandersis peaking. He’s been a force in the running game and he is a weapon in the passing game. Want to beat the Cowboys? Run the ball. Control the time of possession. The Eagles have worked hard to score points all season, and in doing so, they’ve been able to stay patient offensively. Going on some long, time-consuming drives on Sunday will not only help establish the line of scrimmage, but it keeps the Dallas offense off the field.******** (Grading all) ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************ (first-round picks after Week) ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************ (of the) ************************************************************************************************************************************************ NFL season – PFFOT********** Andre Dillard, Philadelphia Eagles**************************************************************************************************************************** (overall grade:) ************************************************************************************************************************************************************ 9 ( th out of qualifying left tackles. The Eagles can win, but they’ve been a mediocre team for two years running, and Dallas is clearly more talented. If the two teams swapped head coaches before the season, I think the Cowboys would have a two- or three-game lead in the division. Prescott feedsAmari Cooper, the Eagles’ WR situation proves too much to overcome, and Dallas captures the NFC East. (************************************ Joe Banner: Eagles need to set pace in Sunday’s NFC East showdown with Cowboys – Inquirer
Domo: You’ve been steadfast in your belief that the Eagles would win the NFC East. Will they beat the Cowboys on Sunday? […] Banner: Coming back and winning the last two games was nice, but they’re not going to be able to beat the Cowboys playing at that same level. Assuming both teams play well, the decisions about how to play early in this game and how to get the lead are going to be crucial. People tend to forget that over 90% of NFL games are won by the team that leads at halftime. The percentage is even higher if you’re the home team. So the Eagles ’getting off to a strong start and scoring early is going to be crucial. He’s the most athletic center in football: The way he explodes out of his stance allows him to cover ground and execute blocks in a way that other centers just can’t. He’s often asked to perform blocks that would typically require help from one of his guards. Kelce’s had better seasons, but his importance to the Eagles offense gets him my vote.

Taking the points against a banged-up Dak Prescott – DraftKings Nation

This is a tough one. Is Dak going to be severely hindered with the shoulder injury? He says the shoulder is getting better and he’ll be good to go on Sunday. We know he’ll likely take pain killers in order to play. But how much will any of that matter? If you think Dak is limited, it’s reasonable to take the Eagles even down to 1.5. Dallas is the better team, but Prescott has been a big part of this offense.Ezekiel Elliottis the engine that makes this team go, but he faces an Eagles defensive front that ranks third in adjusted line yards. They’re likely to stack the box against Zeke and dare Prescott to beat them with his injured shoulder. While it’s possible the Cowboys are BS’ing us and setting up the Eagles, it’s not enough to hope that’s the case and lay the points. If Prescott was healthy, I’d be laying the points this weekend, but I just can’t do it with Prescott dealing with that shoulder injury. (********************************************** Five things to watch when the Cowboys face the Eagles in a divisional showdown – Blogging The Boys
1. What kind of Dak will we see? With the news that the Cowboys Quarterback is dealing with a shoulder injury, this will add another level of nervousness to an already anxiety-filled game. Rumblings around the facility have been optimistic as most of his teammates feel pretty good about Dak Prescott’s prognosis for Sunday. But the concern isn’t really about whether he’s suiting up as we know Dak’s toughness. What is a little more unknown is how will he be able to perform with a sore shoulder. Prior to last week’s game against the Los Angeles Rams, Prescott had gone through a rough stretch. And now, he’s coming off a game where he only threw 26 passes. Sure, he was incredibly efficient, but was aided by a dominating running game. The Eagles have the third-best rushing defense in the league. Rest assured, Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz is going to test Dak’s throwing ability. If Prescott’s shoulder is hindering him, it could be a problem for the Cowboys offense as Dak needs to come through with a good performance against the Eagles. (************************************************** Is this Jason Garrett’s last stand with the Cowboys? – ESPN
If the Cowboys (7-7) lose, Prescott’s health will not matter. It will be another example of Garrett not having his team ready for the biggest of moments against an Eagles team that has been beset by injuries all season. If the Cowboys win, Garrett’s contribution will be shrugged upon by many that will await the next loss in a win-or-else moment. This is the high wire Garrett has attempted to walk once Jones opted to not extend his contract beyond 130972. Everybody is watching but only for what is likely to happen if he actually fell; not if he made it across the tightrope with the Cowboys in the playoffs for the second straight year and the third time in four seasons. Ask a former NFL player: What’s the most shocking quarterback move that could happen this offseason? – SB Nation

*** The Cowboys not re-signing. ************************************************************************** Dak Prescottwould be the biggest surprise of the offseason. If the Cowboys don’t win the NFC East, I could see them deciding to move on. Prescott wouldn’t be the only reason, or really the reason at all, the Cowboys don’t make the playoffs, but they’ve seemed hesitant to pay him and now he’s going to want more money than before the season. What if they paid Amari Cooperand traded up for a young quarterback? Or signed Teddy Bridgewaterfor less. Or … they sign Tom Bradyif he leaves the Patriotsthis offseason . Again, I don’t think it’s likely the Cowboys do this, but it would be the biggest surprise of the offseason if it happened. … ******** (************************************************************************************ (Social Media Information:**************************************************************** BGN Facebook Page: **************************************************************************************** Click here to like our pageBGN Twitter: (************************************************************************************ Follow @BleedingGreen BGN Instagram: (************************************************************************************** Follow @BleedingGreenInsta BGN Manager: Brandon Lee Gowton: (************************************************************************************* (Follow @BrandonGowton) ************************************************************************************* BGN Radio Twitter : () ************************************************************************************ (Follow @BGN_Radio) ************************************************************************************** () ********************************************************************************************** () **************************************************************************************************(Read More) ****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
