ELLIE Goulding’s ex Dougie Poyner posted about “plastic rubbish” just hours before her wedding.
The McFly star, who dated Ellie for two years before their split in 2016, snubbed the singer’s big day to focus on promoting his new eco-friendly book.
Ellie and fiance Caspar Jopling tied the knot in York on Saturday.
The popstar turned up in a blue VW camper van and was immediately greeted by her bridesmaids, who all wore white long sleeved white dresses.
But Dougie was more concerned with his latest project, Plastic Sucks.
He wrote on Twitter: “I’m going on tour for #PlasticSucks starting next weekend !! Book tickets here if you haven’t already.”

Follwoing her split from Dougie, Ellie told The Sun that she just needed to be on her own.
She said: “I’m not in a relationship any more and that’s been hard.

“But I think for me and anybody else going through the same thing, it’s really important to get to know yourself, be happy with your own company and like yourself.
“The only way I can do that is by spending time with myself.”
An announcement in The Times revealed Ellie’s intentions to get married to Caspar.

“The engagement is announce between Caspar, son of The Hon Nicholas Jopling of Yorkshire and Mrs Jayne Warde-Aldam of Yorkshire, and Elena, daughter of Mr Arthur Goulding of Hertfordshire and Mrs Tracey Sumner of West Midlands . “
A source told the Sun’s Bizarre column at the time: “The couple wanted to tell friends and family first and people won’t notice because her name is Elena.
“She’s over the moon and has never felt so happy.”
