Introduction: The Commercial Cryptography Exhibition and the Cryptography Application and Innovation Development Conference made a splendid appearance at the 10th Shanghai International Technology Fair.

From June 12 to 14, 2024, the Commercial Cryptography Exhibition and Cryptography Application and Innovation Development Conference, jointly guided by the Executive Office of the Organizing Committee of the China (Shanghai) International Technology Import and Export Fair (hereinafter referred to as “Shanghai Fair”) and the Shanghai Cryptography Administration, and co-organized by the Shanghai Commercial Cryptography Industry Association and Donghao Lansheng (Group) Co., Ltd., made a splendid appearance at the 10th Shanghai Fair.

The Commercial Cryptography Exhibition of this year's Shanghai International Technology Fair focuses on cryptography services for the “Belt and Road Initiative”, the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, and the high-level institutional opening of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone. It focuses on anti-quantum computing cryptography and the integration, innovation and demonstration application of cryptography with new technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and privacy computing, and focuses on the key core role of commercial cryptography in supporting the security of the cyberspace system and serving the digital development of the economy and society. The exhibition area is divided into three parts: the cryptography-related enterprise exhibition area, the cryptography application and innovation development conference area, and the cryptography science display and activity area. 44 well-known Chinese cryptography and network security companies, including Geer Software, Venusstar, Anheng Information, Zhixun Detection, Lanqi Technology, Shandong Fisherman, Jiangnan Xinan, and Shanghai Software Center, appeared in the enterprise exhibition area and displayed their innovative technological achievements and typical application cases in cryptography-related fields.

On June 13, the Cryptography Application and Innovation Development Conference with the theme of “Using 'numbers' to innovate, using 'intelligence' to improve quality – creating new momentum for high-quality development of cryptography” was successfully held in the conference area. The conference focused on the innovative concepts and achievements of the integration of cryptography with new technologies, new formats and new models, aiming to explore relevant cutting-edge technologies and industrial development trends, promote collaborative innovation between industry, academia and research, and help the high-quality development of commercial cryptography. Relevant leaders of the National Cryptography Administration delivered speeches and interpreted policies at the conference. More than 10 functional departments including the Shanghai Cryptography Administration, the Municipal Party Committee Cyberspace Administration, and the Municipal Commerce Commission, as well as relevant leaders of Songjiang District, Zhejiang Provincial Cryptography Administration, Guangzhou Municipal Cryptography Administration, and relevant leaders of cryptography administrations in various districts of Shanghai, as well as experts and scholars in cryptography-related fields, enterprise representatives and more than 200 people attended the conference. The conference invited authoritative experts in cryptography-related fields in my country to give special reports, and held the inauguration ceremony of the Quantum Cryptography Application Innovation Center and the release ceremony of the popular science cryptography book “The Adventures of Shang Xiaomi in the Four Great Masterpieces”.

The cryptography science exhibition and activity area is another highlight of the commercial cryptography section of this year's Shanghai International Technology Fair. The exhibition area is based on the story scenes in “Shang Xiaomi's Adventures in the Four Great Classics” and the animation image of Shang Xiaomi as the core element for the design and setting, presenting a relaxed, lively, immersive and sci-fi atmosphere. There are a variety of interactive game sessions in the exhibition area, which popularize cryptography knowledge and allow the audience to easily and happily appreciate the magic and mystery of cryptography.

Cryptography is the key technology and basic support for ensuring network security and data security, and is widely used in all aspects of national economy and social production and life. The successful holding of the Commercial Cryptography Exhibition and Cryptography Application and Innovation Development Conference of this Shanghai International Trade Fair will effectively promote the display and exchange of cryptographic innovation technologies, promotion and application, and international cooperation, and help create a good atmosphere for the whole society to know, understand, and use cryptography.
