Jordan slams Silva
Simon Jordan has slammed Marco Silva, claiming he has never been qualified to manage Everton.
Speaking to the Final Word on
talkSPORT, the former Crystal Palace chairman has not held back …
I don’t know how he got the job in the first place quite frankly. I really like [Everton chairman] Bill Kenwright, I count him as a friend.
I think on the whole, most of the managerial decisions he’s made, alongside [Everton’s majority shareholder Farhad] Moshiri, but primarily when he had all the influence with [managers like] David Moyes, Roberto Martinez and Ronald Koeman, they were advancing the football club.
This guy has come from Olympiakos, he went into Hull. He was ridiculed, I know, from the Soccer Saturday punditry team before he got to Hull.
It looked like he was going to keep them up, he didn ‘ t keep them up and went to Watford.
He had two or three months of a reasonable level of football and that qualified him for a huge project like Everton with a guy like Moshiri, who was bringing players in and having huge ambition to want to move this football club forward with a new stadium.

Allardyce takes aim at Silva and Brands
Speaking of Sam Allardyce, he’s wasted no time in sticking the knife into Marco Silva, Marcel Brands and Everton.
Appearing onTalkSPORT, he says the Blues have gone backwards under his replacement.
But he hasn’t stopped there. He’s hit out at Everton’s recruitment and believes the Portuguese has lost the Goodison dressing room.
There was a lot to be done in recruitment terms and making sure mistakes that were made before I got there weren’t repeated. It doesn’t look like that has been the case.
Even though a lot of money has been spent again, there are some good players in some areas but some areas that are still weak.
They have already lost four games at home and Everton’s home record has always been the strength of the team.
It needs some stability again and they need to get themselves in a reasonable position this season and see where they go from there.
It is about respect. It is not about whether you get on well with the players. It is respect you are looking for.
It is your desire and organization which earns you the respect of your players.
When players respect you, they go out and play. They might like him, but they are not playing for him.

Bent backs Allardyce
While Marc o Silva might be set to stay (for now), that hasn’t stopped a number of other names being tipped to replace the Portuguese.
Let’s start with the ridiculous just to get it out of the way.
Darren Bent thinks Everton should re-appoint Sam Allardyce. Yes, really.
For me, to move forward Everton need to move on and freshen it up. They need a manager that’s defensive-minded. They’re shipping way too many goals.
Listen I know they hated him (Allardyce) when he was there, but you need somebody who’s going to get results.
It might not be the best football to watch, but if you’re conceding every single game then please tell me how you’re going to get any kind of result?
