Actress Felicity Huffman reported to a federal prison in Northern California on Tuesday to start a 14 – day sentence for her role in a massive college admissions scandal that rocked elite universities around the United States.

The “Desperate Housewives” star surrendered to authorities at theFederal Correctional InstitutioninDublin, California, which is about 40 miles east of San Francisco,her representative said.

Huffman, a one-time Oscar nominee and the wife of actor William H. Macy, will also have to pay a fine of $ 30, 000 and perform 250 hours of community service underthe sentence handed down by U.S. District Judge Indira Talwanilast month.
