Final Fantasy VII Remake Will Never Live Up To The Hype, Crypto Coins News

  • Final Fantasy VII Remake will be released later this year.
  • Thanks to being based on one of gaming’s all-time most popular titles, it’s expected to be a huge release.
  • There are plenty of reasons to try and curb your enthusiasm for the pending release.

It has been teased numerous times, including back when the PS3 first came out. Now it’s finally almost here and so many people are hyped to jump back into the futuristic city of Midgar.

Of course, along with the hype comes leaks. Over the past few days and weeks, much of the game’s data has been leaked. Final Fantasy VII Remake Will Never Live up to Nostalgia

Full disclosure upfront, I am not at all that hyped for Final Fantasy VII Remake . I will probably play it at some point once it has come down in price. But too much of what I’ve seen of the game has made me skeptical. The fact that one 480 – hour game is being turned into three 480 -hour games is probably the largest red flag in my opinion.

That aside, I feel like some caution is probably a wise move. I’m all for getting excited about a new game release. As much fun as it can be to act cynically, I feel that getting excited about games is sort of the point of being a gamer. In this particular case gettingtoo excited will just lead to disappointment.

There is no way that Final Fantasy VII Remake is going to stands up to the nostalgic ideal of the original game that Most fans have in their heads. It’s just not possible at all. It has been, years since the original game came out. In that time, the fans have built it up to near godlike levels of quality in their minds and memories. No company, no matter how good, is going to be able to create a product to compete with that ideal.

The Game Might Still Be Great, But Reserve Judgment is Wise

All I’m trying to say is that you probably shouldn’t rush out and buy the $ 1, 00 0 deluxe edition that comes with a real cloud wig. The truth is that Final Fantasy VII has been milked to death. For years. Of all the media surrounding FFVII, how much of it was actually any good?

Advent Children was bland and average at best while Dirge of Cerberus was a complete pile of crap. This remake might be as bad as they are. Of course, it might be as good as the original and Crisis Core, both of which were great games. But, what is the point in going in thinking it’s going to be amazing? You’re just going to get your heart broken.

At least if you go in with reasonable expectation you might find yourself pleasantly surprised. Maybe it’ll be great. Maybe they’ll manage to remake the original classic without ruining its legacy or message. They might even find a way of spreading the plot of the game across three separate 50 – hour platforms without making it feel like it’s spread too thin. Hey, miracles can happen, right?
