The Lib Dem leader says Boris Johnson has “proven time. and time again why he is unfit to be PM “.

Speaking at a campaign rally in Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab’s seat, she continued:” [Johnson] doesn ‘t care about anyone other than himself.

“He has certainly said and written many sexist things.

“We have seen more of them come out in the campaign, whether it is talking about patting his boss on the bum and sending her on her way, whether it is writing in a derogatory way about Muslim women.

“This is a man who has got an absolute history of talking about women in that way.”

Farage slams ‘pretty appalling’ campaign with ‘no scrutiny’ of PM’s deal

The Brexit Party leader has said this morning that this election campaign has been “pretty appalling”.

Nigel Farage told an audience of supporters at the Earl of Doncaster Hotel that both in terms of policies from the main parties and in terms of the vitriol experienced by candidates, it has been a poor campaign.

He told South Yorkshire voters: “I do actually think That this General Election has been pretty appalling on two levels.

“On one level, it’s just boiling down now to meaningless statements, unrealizing of financial promises and a whole bunch of conspiracy theories.

“They call it the Brexit election, but there’s been no discussion about the Withdrawal Agreement whatsoever.”

Johnson goes literal with his ‘oven-ready’ analogy

More details coming into us about Johnson’s visit. to a catering firm in Derby.

PA reports the PM put a pastry top on a beef and ale pie before it was placed in an oven – then pulled out a separate pie that had already cooked for 22 minutes, to which he had made no contribution.

Johnson said: “This is the oven-ready pie, this is a perfect metaphor for what we ‘re going to do in the run-up to Christmas if we can get a working majority, we have a deal, it’s ready to go.

“You saw how easy it is, we put it in, slam it in the oven, take it out and there it is – get Brexit done. “

Corbyn rallies activists in Glasgow with call to ‘end austerity’

The Labor leader has also been up and about early doors, giving a short stump speech in Glasgow.

He told activists: “In this city of Glasgow, which has some of the poorest people in this country, which has wards which contain the lowest life expectancy all across this country, they need an end to austerity.

“They need a UK government that will invest all across the country and give real hope and real security to people.

“That is the offer that Labor makes and we’ve carried that message all across the country during the last days of this campaign. ”

Corbyn added his party “has never indulged in the politics of personal abuse and never will”. He added: “It demeans politics, it demeans democracy. It does not build a house, it does not train a doctor, it does not end poverty.”
