Corbyn rallies activists in Glasgow with call to ‘end austerity’
The Labor leader has also been up and about early doors, giving a short stump speech in Glasgow.
He told activists: “In this city of Glasgow, which has some of the poorest people in this country, which has wards which contain the lowest life expectancy all across this country, they need an end to austerity.
“They need a UK government that will invest all across the country and give real hope and real security to people.
“That is the offer that Labor makes and we’ve carried that message all across the country during the last days of this campaign. ”
Corbyn added his party “has never indulged in the politics of personal abuse and never will”. He added: “It demeans politics, it demeans democracy. It does not build a house, it does not train a doctor, it does not end poverty.”

In a video message just posted on his Twitter, the PM says: “I’m here at Junction 30 truck stop having a fantastic breakfast. Don’t forget: Everybody must turn-out, it’s a critical election – vote for a one nation Conservative Party. ”

Gove defends ‘debate’ over tackling extremism after PM accused of exploiting terror victim’s death

The adviser to Boris Johnson has “rung in”. to ITV, one of its presenters has said, to complain about the live TV coverage of him refusing a journalist’s request for the PM to honor a promise to give an interview to them before polling day.
Sky News has been told by a Tory source that the adviser was not swearing at the journalist, and that an official complaint has been registered.

One of Johnson’s advisers It appears to have a close encounter with an ITV reporter asking the prime minister to “deliver on your promise” to speak to its presenters.
The journalist comments to the aide: “I’m actually being pushed and shoved by one of the minders … Do you want to keep your tone of language down as well, because people are watching this this morning, thanks very much. “
Our Political Correspondent Kate McCann Reports on the PM trying to show he’s not complacent.
The northeastern paper the Evening Express reports that before the PM turned up to deliver his milk, “two bottles of milk already outside the property were removed before the Conservative Party leader arrived”.
A Daily Telegraph journalist also reports the woman who answered the door declared “I did realise there were going to be this many people” – perhaps suggesting it was a total surprise to her.
