Stephanie Davis has reportedly split from her boyfriend Owen Warner after nine months together.

The Hollyoaks actress, who met Owen on the set of the soap and moved in with him a month later, is apparently ‘devastated’ to have called it quits with her beau .

The split comes just days after the couple denied split claims, amid rumors Owen felt that the relationship was’ moving too quickly ‘.

A source told theSun: ‘Stephanie and Owen have decided to split after weeks of trying to work through their differences. They decided to end it today and Steph is insisting there’s no going back.

‘She couldn’t be more devastated as she saw a real future with Owen, especially as he’s been a father

‘Steph is absolutely heartbroken and devastated it’s over – she wanted to be with Owen forever and now all of a sudden she’s mourning the loss of him in her and Caben’s lives. ‘

MailOnline have contacted representatives for Stephanie and Owen for comment.

Just days ago the couple were forced to deny that they were on the brink of a split following a huge row, which saw Owen block his girlfriend on Instagram.

An insider told the Mirror at the time: ‘It was all a bit too much for him . Stephanie has been very full on the last few months.

‘It was blatantly obvious she was moving the relationship forward at a rate of 100 miles an hour and him being the age he is found it very difficult to breath.

‘It was all very suffocating. He’s moved out of her house but the fact they are still working together is proving very difficult for both cast and crew.

However a source close to Stephanie claimed that they argument was just a bump in the road and they definitely hadn’t split.

Before this the couple appeared the picture of happiness, as Owen suggested he was ready to marry Stephanie after referring to the actress as his wife in an Instagram post.

The co-stars began dating in December, shortly after Stephanie returned to the long-running Channel 4 soap following a three-year absence.

Owen, who plays Romeo Quinn, has hinted at a potential engagement in a post added to the social media platform last month.

Responding to the caption, Stephanie added: ‘I can’t WAIT to be your wife. I love you. ‘

The post prompted inevitable speculation from fans, with many assuming the post had been shared shortly after Stephanie accepted her boyfriend’s marriage proposal.

Commenting on the snap, one fan wrote: ‘I think Romeo found his Juliet.’

While another asked: ‘Are you engaged? or am i just being stupid? ‘

Amidst the dozens of congratulatory messages a third fan observed:’ she’s been wearing what looks like an engagement ring for a while now. ‘

Owen moved in with Stephanie and her young son Caben – the actress’s only child with former partner Jeremy McConnell – in January after just one month of dating.

Stephanie and Jeremy ended their highly dysfunctional relationship before their son had turned one, and following that, Stephanie went to rehab to battle alcohol issues in December 2017.

Jeremy now claims to have been clean and sober for the last 18 months.
