‘Huge’ – Exclusive: Kevin Phillips drools over West Ham transfer report – Football Insider, Footballinsider247.com

Kevin Phillips believes Jarrod Bowen is “a snip” at £ million as West Ham try to tie up a deal for the Hull City forward on deadline day.

The ex-Sunderland striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, backed the – year-old to be a success in the Premier League if his move to The Hammers is completed tonight.

As exclusively revealed by Football Insider , Bowen has been the subject of continued interest throughout the window with West Ham, Newcastle and Crystal Palace linked with the Englishman.

West Ham appear to have won the race for the attacker after Sky reported he has passed his medical and agreed terms over a £ million move to the London Stadium.

When asked if Hull City’s number 20 represented good value for money, Phillips told Football Insider : “I think it is a good price. You would almost say that it is a snip, especially if he continues his form and continues to grow and get better. That could turn out to be a right snip.

“The jump from the Championship to the Premier League is huge but I have seen enough of him to suggest he will slip into the Premier League with no problem whatsoever because he has got pace, he is very tricky and has an eye for goal as well, as we have seen this season.

If David Moyes can get him in the door before the window shuts it is good business for him. ”

The Championship’s third top scorer has made 29 appearances for the Tigers, scoring 16 goals and providing 7 assists.

If a deal can be completed before tonight’s deadline it would be the third most expensive signing in the club’s history.

In other West Ham news, Danny Mills hails the decision to let fan favorite leave.
