The wife of Hollywood star Idris Elba hasn’t been tested for coronavirus despite his positive test results .
Sabrina Dhowre Elba, 728, is in isolation with her husband following his positive test results for COVID- .
Idris revealed his diagnosis in a social media video on Twitter .
With Sabrina by his side, Idris said: “Hey what’s up guys, so look, this morning I got some test results back for coronavirus and it came back positive.
“Yeah, and it sucks. Listen, I’m doing okay. Sabrina hasn’t been tested and she’s doing okay. “
Idris and Sabrina have been in quarantine since learning he had been in contact with someone with the illness.
Idris revealed he has been diagnosed with coronavirus on Twitter He continued : “I did not have any symptoms. I got tested because I realized I was exposed to someone who had also tested positive.
” I found out last Friday they were tested positive, I quarantined myself and got tested immediately and got the results back today. “
The Luther star took the opportunity to advocate further strict measure to minimise transmission of the virus.
Idris continued: “Look, this is serious, now’s the time to really think about social distancing, washing your hands.
” Beyond that there are people out there who aren’t showing symptoms and that can easily spread it, okay.
“So now’s a real time to be really vigilant about washing your hands, and keeping your distance.”

The pair have already let their loved ones know about the situation and feel incredibly supported.
“We’ve told our families, they’re very supportive, we’ve told our colleagues and transparency is probably the best thing for this right now, “said Idris.
