I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! 2019 kicked off tonight and Ant and Dec were on top form with the topical jokes just minutes in.
As they introduced the show, Declan Donnelly cracked a joke about Prince Andrew’s disastrous Newsnight interview.
Ant McPartlin said the stars in this year line-up were “sweating” with nerves, but Dec said that “not everyone can sweat “.
This was a reference to Prince Andrew claim that he wasn’t” profusely sweating “when he danced with then 17 – year-old Virginia Roberts because a medical condition meant he couldn’t sweat.
Ant said: “And what a line up we’ve got in store for you this year.
“Ten celebrities all of them very nervous, all of them sweating.”
“Presuming they can sweat, not everyone can sweat apparently,” Dec interuppted.
There were laughs from the crew but Ant kept a poker face and carried on with the introductions.
The Duke of York last night answered questions for the first time about his links to paedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein.
He stuttered, stumbled and licked his lips as Newsnight host Emily Maitlis grilled him about allegations he’d had sex with Roberts, who claims she was trafficked by Epstein to be a sex slave
He said he didn’t meet her at the club becuse he was at a Pizza Express in Woking at the time.
