Match called off due to rain!
The first T 20 I of the three-match series between India and South Africa was abandoned due to rain in Dharamsala. Incessant rain continued throughout as even the toss was not able to take place between the two teams. The non-stop pouring eventually forced officials to call off the match at around 19: IST. The second match of the series will take place at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali on September 18.

19: 51 IST: And the match has been officially called off!It was always going to be difficult for the match to get started in the first place with so much of rain. As expected the match has been abandoned. Disappointing start to the season as rain washes the first game.

(********************************************************************: 19 IST: The covers are still on as rain continues to play a spoilsport. Absolutely pouring in Dharamsala at the moment. Things are not looking good in the season opener.

Update: It has been raining for the last two days in Dharamsala and covers are at place right now. Team India is at the ground but players are just not out yet as rain continues. There are also puddles on the ground on the areas which are not covered.
