Despite a close first period, South Africa brought the Brave Blossoms’ Rugby World Cup dream to an end as they sucked the life out of the Japanese to score 21 unanswered second half points.

It’s been one heck of a ride for the Brave Blossoms, but it has ended at the quarter-final stage.
As for South Africa, they complete the semi-finals.
Cancel your weekend, it’s a MASSIVE double-header.

Fly-half Handre Pollard is asked about the game and Wales next weekend.
He says: “We weren’t happy with what we did in the first half but we showed a lot of character.
“A couple of good tries in the second half.”
Have Wales had the edge in the last few encounters?
He adds: “They have, we haven’t played them on neutral ground for a while so we’re looking forward to that.”

That was a masterful performance from the Springboks.
They put out fires all over the place.
