Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard is believed to have begun to be represented by notorious super agent Mino Raiola, who is keen to work with more English players.

Raiola also represents the likes of Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic andErling Haaland, and has helped broker a number of big-money deals in the past, including Pogba’s return to United fromJuventus.

Recently, however, he has risked the wrath of officials at United by appearing to help teenage superstar Haaland sign for Dortmund rather than the Red Devils, and he is also said to be trying to get Pogba a move away from Old Trafford.

But according to theDaily Maildespite this Lingard has started a new working relationship with Raiola-a decision which is not likely to go down to well with directors at United.

Raiola has always been a controversial figure, and on the topic of Pogba’s potential move he recently said: “Pogba’s problem is Manchester United

. It’s a club out of touch with reality and without a sporting project.

‘I wouldn’t take anyone there, they would even ruin Maradona, Pele and Maldini. Paul needs a club and a squad, one like Juventus was before. “

It remains to be seen what Raiola’s plans are for Lingard, who has failed to find his top form in recent times.

Despite becoming a key part of the United team since being given his chance in the – season, Lingard failed to score or create an assist in the Premier League in 2019, and with his contract set to expire at the end of next season, he could yet be tempted with a move away from the club to try to kickstart his career.

It remains to be seen if Lingard is involved in United’s Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against rivals Manchester Cityon Tuesday.
