Liverpool managed to stop Jamie Vardy on Boxing Day. Now, though, Jurgen Klopp believes the Reds face an even bigger task.

Wolverhampton Wanderers will be the latest team to attempt to halt the runaway Premier League leaders when they visit Anfield on Sunday afternoon, less than hours after beating Manchester City.

A dramatic 3 -2 win ensuredLiverpoolremain 18 points ahead of City with a game in hand, the Reds having opened up a – point gap on second-placed Leicester Citywith a 4-0 Boxing Day triumph at the King Power Stadium.

Key to Wolves’ victory was the performance of Adama Traore, who scored the opener and created the second at Molineux.

And Klopp regards the former Barcelona winger as the main threat to his team’s unbeaten start to the Premier League campaign.

“Adama Traore found his manager who found a position for him,” he adds. “He started as a wing-back and now he can play in the front three.

” Exceptional player as a kid when he played for Barca, the quickest player in the league I think.

“I saw him at Boro, he was exceptional but someone had to give him the right information.

“Big, big talent and you don’t think he’s young, but he is still very young. Now, he found the right situation.

“Everyone was pretty sure that would happen and now it has at Wolves. Makes it really dangerous. In a big space. (Jamie) Vardy is difficult to defend, but I would say Traore is even harder to defend because his speed is incredible. ”

Wolves have lost only one of their last away games in all competitions and are through to the knockout stages of the Europa League while in the hunt for a top -four finish.

And Klopp says: “I really think the job Nuno (Espirito Santo) is doing there is incredible. With all the Europa League stress, at the beginning of the season I think they realized it was different, but now they have settled completely.

“(Raul) Jimenez and (Diogo) Jota are scoring again, they had to change their last line from last year with (Willy) Boly not playing consistently. But they have good options there.

“They have a lot of really good things there and it makes it really difficult to play against them, of course. But it should be difficult against us. That’s the plan. ”

Liverpool will look to continue their record-equalling start to the campaign on Sunday.

No other club has taken more points from their opening (games as the

And while acknowledging Arsenal’s landmark, the Reds boss isn’t becoming distracted by chasing down such an accolade.

“It is a massive deal,” he says of the Gunners, who went the entire 2003 / (Premier League season without defeat.)

“I’m a while in this business, and if you’d ask me if this was possible … I don’t think so.

“At Dortmund we had games, and that felt absolutely exceptional, but only in the review.

“When you’re in the situation … I’ve been asked if I see a swagger in the boys when they step on the pitch, but Unfortunately I can’t see anything like this because I am completely concerned about all things in the game.

“I’m a very optimistic person but not before a football game. I know we can win it but I’ve never thought in my life that we probably will win it. That makes life really uncomfortable sometimes.

“These numbers, I forget them now. If you tell me next time then I’ll be surprised the number is that high. ”
