Justin Bieberwas in a reflective mood on Monday as he shared a lengthy post to hisInstagramlaying out the struggles he’s faced in his life.
The Canadian hitmaker, who’s 25, spoke about being overwhelmed by life and how child stardom had left him ‘a shell of a person’ unequipped for the pressures and responsibilities his success would bring.
‘It’s hard to get out of bed in the morning with the right attitude when you are overwhelmed with your life, your past, job, responsibilities, emotions, your family, finances, your relationships, ‘he wrote. ‘Sometimes it can even get to the point where you don’t even want to live anymore.’

It’s not the first time that the singer has spoken about his battle with depression and the intense scrutiny that came with being a teen heartthrob.

But in Monday’s Instagram post, Bieber goes into greater detail about the why’s and wherefore’s of his mental state and his ability or lack of it to handle his fame.
And he concludes by describing how he has’ bounced back ‘thanks to’ extraordinary people who love me for me ‘and says his marriage to Hailey Baldwin, which took place a year ago, is’ the best season of my life.’

He shares with his fans that despite all the money, cars, clothes and accolades, he still felt ‘unfulfilled.’
He blames the ‘insane pressure and responsibility’ heaped onto a child star coupled with huge fame for leaving him adrift in an adult world.
‘I went from a 13 year old boy from a small town to being praised left and right by the wo rld with millions saying how much they loved me and how great I was, ‘he wrote. ‘You hear these things enough as a young boy and you actually start believing it.’
He went on: ‘I was 18 with no skills in the real world, with millions of dollars and access to whatever I wanted. This is a very scary concept for anyone. ‘
