It’s claimed that Rabiot has the full backing of Juventus staff with chiefs having been impressed by his contributions.
This is despite Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri previously stating that Rabiot hasn’t found life in Italy easy.
Sarri had said: “He has struggled to settle into our football, but that is normal.
” He also came off an injury and struggled more in the first half in Germany [against Leverkusen]. He is also quite introverted, which does not help him to settle. “
It may come as a blow to Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with the Norwegian admitting he is keeping a close eye on potential targets.
Solskjaer said: “We’re still looking and as I’ve said so many times we have our targets if they become available and if it’s something we want to do.
“If the right ones aren’t there, then they aren’t.
” You can see the squad and sometimes you think, yeah, one or two additions would do nicely because we are building towards something.
