Kate Garraway has shared a heart-wrenching update on her husband Derek Draper amid his coronavirus battle.
The GMB presenter, , joined their kids Darcey and William out the front of their house to clap for the NHS in an emotional clip shared on Instagram on Thursday.
Kate revealed her husband was still “critically ill” and he has remained in intensive care.
Derek was taken into hospital at the start of April After he contracted the deadly bug.
The breakfast TV star has not lost hope and she thanked the NHS with all her heart.
She said: “He is still critically ill in intensive care, but where there is life there is hope. Thank you # nhs from the bottom of my heart.”

The presenter got emotional as she stood by her children’s sides for the clap for carers.
She wrote: “Another emotional # clapthecarers & never has it been more needed. If this pandemic # lockdown is dragging on for us, imagine what it is like for them.

Kate reached out to her fans to thank them for the kind messages and advice while her husband battles the virus in hospital.
