Kylie Jenner pledges $ 1 million to Australian bushfire relief after stirring controversy with now-deleted social media posts showing mink fur slippers and a caption about ‘finding your fire’

It’s a charged time to say the least, and this social media superstar is trying to make things right after getting some attention she did want.

The pledge comes just one day after Jenner, 25, landed in the hotseat for what many fans deemed an insensitive concurrence of posts, one reading ‘this breaks my heart’ below an image of a burned koala and the text ‘over half a BILLION animals’ being killed by the wildfires, and the other a snap of her ‘baby pink toes’ peaking out from Louis Vuitton slippers – made from real mink fur.

A source close to Jenner spo ke to People about the social media shares, identifying it as nothing more than an unfortunate coincidence.

‘That post was completely unintentional,’ the insider said. ‘Kylie stands behind her desire to want to help provide relief towards the devastation the fires have caused.’

But the troubles for Kylie did not end there, as also on Monday she shared a glamorous photo of herself sitting in front of a fireplace and captioned it ‘find ur fire’ alongside a fire emoji and a yellow love heart.

When a fan’s comment mentioned the disaster unfolding in Australia, Kylie seemingly had second thoughts and quickly edited the caption to, ‘night out’ and deleted the fire emoji.

‘Nothing gets me more heated than to see the Kardashians / Jenners talk about climate change / wildfires and not donate even a penny,’ the user had written, tagging the entire family.

Kim responded in kind: ‘Nothing gets me more heated than to see people think they know what we donated to and to think we ha ve to publicize everything. ‘

And while many went on to praise Kim for her clapback, others called her hypocritical for continuing to wear fur and ride private jets.

One wrote: ‘You publicize everything else tho AND STILL WEAR FUR. ..AND TAKE PRIVATE JETS … wild. ‘

Another tweeted:’ A girl selling her nudes online has almost made k to help with the Australian fires and the Kardashians only been tweeting emojis do ya’ll see why I’m angry. ‘

And Khloé, 39, defended Kim on Monday morning as well, first retweeting her sister’s post before adding a bible quote.
