Rodgers signed a three-year deal with Leicester back in February, worth £ 5 million a year, and has made it clear he is committed to the east midlands club .
Speaking on the speculation surrounding his future, he said: “It’s natural that there are links.
“If you are doing okay people want to take you away from something you enjoy. If you’re not, it doesn’t matter. There’s always a number of names.
“We’re at the beginning of something here. My relationship with the people here and the players is very strong. We think we are starting something exciting.
“Arsenal is a fantastic club. One of the greats in this country. If the people at Arsenal have moved Unai on, I’m sure they have an idea of who they want to bring in. ”
The Northern Irishman has already put his stamp on his Leicester side during his short stint so far, with the club currently second in the Premier League table.
Whether he would leave for Arsenal – a perceived bigger club – is another matter.
The Gunners have struggled this season and sit eighth in the table, with Freddie Ljungberg tasked with handling first-team affairs in the interim until they land a permanent appointment.
Emery was relieved from his duties on Friday, having overseen the club’s worst run of form since 1992.
Arsenal are without a win in their last seven matches in all competitions, and face a trip to Norwich on Sunday in their first match under Ljungberg’s watch.

Rodgers remains Arsenal’s preferred choice to take over the role on a permanent basis, while Mikel Arteta is also in the frame.
The former Arsenal captain has been earning his stripes as Pep Guardiola’s assistant at Man City and would appease the fans at the Emirates.
Another ex-Gunners skipper Patrick Vieira is also being consider, though he insists he is happy at Nice.
