National Signing Day is no longer the biggest recruiting day on the recruiting calendar. Now, it’s the first Wednesday of the Early Signing Period. Sixty-five percent of prospects inked early in the 2020 cycle. That number jumped to 76 percent last year in Year 2 of the recruiting shift. A similar number of prospects are expected to ink from Dec. to 20 this year. That means hundreds of commitments and more than a few surprises over the next few days.

The Miami native committed to the Hurricanes in July of 2020 before decommitting from the Hurricanes that December. He then committed to Miami once again this February before decommitting from Miami once again in October. Francois eventually took official visits to Miami and Nebraska before eventually inking with the Huskers. Keep in mind, Francois hails from Dade County, which calls the Hurricanes home.
