A seven-year-old girl has died and a woman in her thirties has been arrested after an incident at Queen’s Park in Bolton.
The park remains cordoned off this evening and there’s a large police presence on the scene.
A witness says all entrances to the park, on the outskirts of the town center, are currently closed, and several police cars and ambulances are present.
The entire 728 acre park, one of the largest in Bolton , appears to be cordoned off.
Police and forensics officers can also be seen inside the park.
A witness told the Manchester Evening News : “There’s around 90 police cars I can see.
“It’s a really heavy police presence. Both main entrances to the park are closed and it looks like the entire park has been cordoned off.
“There’s around 10 The officers guarding one entrance. Ther’s a bit of a crowd of people forming as well. “
Greater Manchester Police have been contacted for a comment.
