Georginio Wijnaldumand Dejan Lovren are fit and ready to feature in Liverpool’s crunch clash withRB Salzburgon Tuesday evening,Jurgen Klopphas confirmed.

Wijnaldum was left out of the Reds’ weekend visit to Bournemouth as a result of a knock, while Lovren was forced off toward the end of the first half with muscle tightness.

Fortunately for Klopp, both players will be available when his team look to secure their place in the Champions League knockout stages by avoiding defeat in Austria.

The same cannot be said, however, for Adam Lallana, who has remained in England in order to overcome a minor injury of his own.

“Gini and Dejan are completely fine,” Klopp told the club’s official website.

“We had pretty much a free choice apart from Adam. Adam is not coming but will be back in training on Thursday. Under pressure we probably could have used him, but we didn’t want to make pressure. How I said, it’s a small thing.

“It would have been maybe a risk or not [to use Lallana], I’m not sure, but we decided to leave him at Melwood and then he can train with the team from Thursday on.

“He had a proper session today, will have a proper session tomorrow and then Thursday he can be with the team.”

Klopp also provided an update on two of his long-term absentees, Fabinho and Joel Matip, explaining that both are likely to be sidelined until the turn of the year.

“Not really, but we didn’t ask really – there is no pressure from my side,” he continued.

“It’s clear they will not be in before Christmas; not this year, actually. So why should we ask every five seconds if there’s some improvement or not?

“I know everybody involved is doing whatever they can. There will be a moment when somebody comes to me and tells me, ‘One week for him, two weeks for him’ and I’ll start telling you. ”
