Love Is Blind reunion: Amber reveals her marriage to Barnett ‘was not working’ as she admits to calling divorce lawyer over ‘epic rows’

Netflix released the Love Is Blind reunion episode on Thursday and while it transpires Amber Pike and Matt Barnett have lasted the distance, they are very nearly split.
In the new episode, Amber, , said that although their love for one another is intense, they’ve had some epic rows and she considered calling divorce lawyers.
She said: ‘There was a point where we almost broke because we had such high expectations out of what we wanted out of a husband and a wife. On the rocks! ‘We knew we were married and we knew we were in love but also we were still learning each other . ‘
‘ I was working as a cocktail waitress and there was a while where I was making Matt so uncomfortable.
‘I was not working so that was putting a strain because I was so financially dependent on him, which was new to me. ‘

She said: ‘Also ya’ll see how he liked to flirt with people – he was so used to his bachelor life and I was used to my bachelor life …
‘We had to figure out how to hang out and party together. We weren’t giving it the time we needed.
‘At one point I actually called about potentially getting a divorce lawyer. I was like this isn’t working. ‘ Matt Matt said things are all good with them now. The couple married within six weeks of meeting on the hit show.
Their relationship began when they (and other contestants), talked to one another in a pod, where they couldn ‘ t see one another, to determine if love really is blind.
Barnett proposed in the pod, off the back of their emotional connection, they went on holiday together, moved in together and married one another.
Now fans of the show have been anxiously waiting for the reunion episode, released by Netflix on Thursday, a week after the wedding episode.
