The body of a woman has been discovered on the M 32 after a suspected hit and run incident, police say.
A section of the motorway has been closed clockwise between junctions eight and , near Leatherhead in Surrey , following the incident.
It said the victim, a 64 – year-old woman, died at the scene. Officers believe she had been walking along the road in the lead-up to her death.

Sergeant Andy Audsley, of Surrey Police, said: “We are trying to establish how the woman, who was a pedestrian, came to be injured in the carriageway.
