The midfielder stepped up his recovery with a – minute display in United’s victory over Newcastle on Boxing Day but was then left out of the squad altogether as Solskjaer’s men beat Burnley.
However, Pogba is back in contention for a starting spot on New Year’s Day, with Scott McTominay’s knee ligament injury leaving the Red Devils short of options in midfield.
Asked whether Pogba was likely to make the trip to north London, Solskjaer replied: ‘Yeah, I would think so.
Solskjaer is satisfied with the depth in his squad but has refused to rule out United making any signings this winter.
‘Well, if we can keep [our forwards] fit and if we can keep on improving, one addition, if you get two additions, of course that’s going to be competition for places, and that’s what you’ve got to deal with at this club, ‘the Norwegian said.
‘We haven’t had enough [competition] because we’ve had so many injuries, but now we’re getting more and more players fit.
