Manchester United took on Wolves in the Premier League this evening as Bruno Fernandes made his debut. Express Sport rates how well the Portuguese did as well as his United team-mates.
The Red Devils were left frustrated with a point as they failed to create clear-cut chances against their opponents. Even new signing Fernandes couldn’t make the difference with Wolves also frustrated as defenders dominated the afternoon at Old Trafford.
The former Sporting man was the only United player to have an effort on target as the likes of Anthony Martial and Daniel James had quiet afternoons.

A good reflection of the right-back’s season as he looked very good in defense but lacks with the ball at his feet in attack.
DC: Harry Maguire – 6 Wolves lacked a cutting edge going forward. but Harry Maguire looked like he was struggling to cope with Jimenez at times.

Perhaps outshone his defensive partner although had little to do throughout at Old Trafford in truth.

Good form continued with the Brazilian looking tenacious throughout and picking the right ball more often than not . MC: Andreas Pereira – 6 Lacks quality and consistency in the key areas of the pitch. Most likely to drop out after Nemanja Matic’s suspension.
The evergreen Spaniard looked like creating almost every time he got the ball. His lack of pace continues to be a problem for the Red Devils though.

Looked accomplished on debut but struggled to create much. Did have three shots on target and was the most dangerous attacking threat on show at Old Trafford but has plenty more to give.
AML: Daniel James – 5 Looks in desperate need of a rest but the lack of options at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s disposal means the Wales international may not get one.
(ST: Anthony Martial – 5)
Drifts in and out of the match far too much as the lone striker and doesn ‘ t help himself in some of the positions he gets in. Bruno Fernandes should help this in the coming weeks.
